Message
I am pleased to learn that the Haryana Water Resources Authority (HWRA) is going to
publish "Water Resource Atlas Haryana- 2025" to systematically document the current
state of water resources in Haryana.
The remarkable advancements in remote sensing and geospatial technologies have
significantly enhanced our ability to study Earth's terrain and monitor changes over
time. It is truly commendable that the Haryana Water Resources Authority and the
HARSAC have taken on the vital task of compiling and integrating water resources data
from various government agencies.
The Water Resource Atlas Haryana-2025 serves as a valuable resource for knowledge,
awareness, and action. The rich collection of graphics, maps, and satellite imagery
presents an insightful and well- structured overview of the state's water resources. By
providing up-to- date and comprehensive information, the Atlas equips stakeholders
with the necessary insights to make informed decisions and develop sustainable plans
for managing water resources in Haryana.
I sincerely appreciate the invaluable contribution of HWRA, HARSAC, and the entire
team of officers for their dedication and expertise in successfully executing this project
with excellence. This work will greatly benefit the scientific community, water resource
managers, and social organizations. I am confident that it will continue to evolve into an
even more powerful resource in the years to come.
I convey my best wishes for the publication of Water Resource Atlas Haryana-2025.
